The remarkable beauty queen “Chidimma Adetshina” who represented Taraba State, emerged victorious over 24 other contestants, marking a notable achievement in Nigerian pageantry.
Despite the South Africa pageant incident where she was forced to leave the contest earlier in the year, after the country’s Minister of Sport, Arts, and Culture, Gaston McKenzie, opposed her participation due to her Nigerian-Mozambican parentage.

Adetshina’s win is more than just a beauty title regarding the controversy that happened in South Africa. Her journey to the title has been nothing short of amazing, reflecting perseverance and grace.
Her victory not only accentuates her strength but also highlights the importance of embracing multicultural identities on global platforms.
As Miss Universe Nigeria 2024, Adetshina will go on to represent Nigeria at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant to be held in the Arena CDMX, Mexico on Saturday, 16 November 2024.
