Tyla wins the first Best African Music Performance at the 2024 Grammys Award.
The 22-year-old South African music sensation has made history by becoming the first winner of the Best African Music Performance category.
The category for Best African Music Performance happens to be one of the new categories at the 2024 Grammys, she beats Nigerian superstars like Davido, Burna Boy, Asake and Ayra Starr with her hit single Water.
“Thank you to the Recording Academy for this category. I never thought I’d say I won a Grammy at just 22 years old,” Tyla says as she accepted the award.
