100 Hours Later Nigerian Chef Hilda Baci Breaks A New Guinness World Record

Hilda Effiong Bassey, professionally known as Chef Hilda Baci, break Guinness World Record.
Hilda broke the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time by an individual in the early hours of Monday, and if confirmed, she will also win a grand prize of $5000.

According to the Guinness World Record official Twitter page, they will review all the evidence before officially confirming the record to her.

Kaffy Dance confirmed this by saying: “Yes, this is standard procedure! Even during our own, we had to wait almost two weeks for them to review the videos and all records. Many people attempt and succeed in beating the records but don’t get verified because of technical errors.

Hilda Baci Biography

The beautiful 27-year-old hails from Akwa Ibom State. Hilda is a multi-talented TV producer, actor, presenter, and foodpreneur. She studied Sociology at Madonna University and is the CEO of My Food by Hilda.

She is currently the titleholder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual. She cooked about 110 different regional and international delicacies and served over 2,795 people non-stop for 100hrs and 40mins. The cooked food is given out for free.

The four-day cookathon began on Thursday the 11th at the Amore Gardens in Lekki, Lagos, at 3 pm. Hilda Baci cookathon was live-streamed on several social media platforms. She was massively celebrated around the country. Different politicians and celebrities congratulated her tenacity.

Hilda is not new in the game! In 2021 she participated in the international Maiden Edition of the “Jollof Faceoff” competition and won.

The current record was set in Rewa in central India by Chef Lata Tandon in 2019. Lata was the first woman to have won the longest time spent cooking. This position was won by Rickey Lumpkin in 2018. Chef Lata cooked non-stop for 87 hours and 45 Minutes.

For Hilda, this event was to showcase her culinary skills and put the country on the global map.
